About Us
George Clifford White Age 96, passed away at home January 16, 2007. George White was born, April 18, 1910 in Pasadena, CA. He is survived by his two children, nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren and friends. Mr. White, a Stanford University graduate, was a registered civil and mechanical engineer; a consulting engineer with nearly 60 years of experience in the field of water treatment. Mr. White was a consulting engineer in San Francisco who was involved with water and wastewater projects for 36 years. He was responsible for developing more sophisticated chlorination control systems, including the first automatic chlorine residual control for waste water disinfections. He was a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, American Water Works Association, and American Academy of Sanitary Engineers; and a director of the California Water Pollution Control Association. He has authored many papers and books. He is the author of Disinfection of Waste Water and Water for reuse (1978). In the course of writing his book he developed close ties to the Sanitary Engineering program at UC Berkeley. At one point he helped his colleagues by making some appropriate chlorination equipment modifications which they used in the notable work of wastewater disinfection. Mr. White touched the lives of many and was admired by all who knew him. He will be greatly missed. Friends may visit Sunday after 3PM and are invited to attend the Vigil Service Sunday, 7PM at the Evergreen Mortuary of McAvoy O'Hara Co., Geary Blvd at 10th Ave, SF. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, 1PM at St. Mary Cathedral, Gough St. and Geary Blvd., Committal to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Judy Myers has been a victim's rights activist for over twenty years and has served the public for 48 years. She was born in Palo Alto, California, taught High Shcool in the San Francisco and Palo Alto Unified School Districts as a physical and health education teacher, and is a graduate of San Francisco State University. Presently she is the CEO for an internet company, uboomeru.com and a media company Alchemy Visions. She is a published author and television and film writer/producer/director. Divorced, she is the mother of two and grandmother of four.
A versatile athlete holding championship titles in Bodybuilding and fitness, tennis, swimming, diving, track and field, roller dance and recently won the women's Master's title for the Long Drive Championship at the Buick Open Invitational 2007.
When asked to describe herself, she states, "I am a follower of Jesus Christ and believe in the teachings of the Bible".
